Unit 2 The Management of Quality in Health and Social Care

  1. Critically discuss differing perspectives of quality in relation to health and social care services.
  2. Critically analyse, strategies for achieving quality in health and social care services.

Unit 3 Research Project

  1. Be able to formulate a research question.
  2. Undertake a pilot research project which does not require ethical approval.

Unit 4 Partnership Working in Health and Social Care

  1. Understand philosophies and relationships in health and social care partnership working.
  2. Understand how to promote positive partnership working between users of services, professionals and organisations in health and social care.

Unit 5 Working with Service Users with Complex Needs

  1. Analyse different perceptions of health, disability and illness.
  2. Understand how to promote the participation and independence of users of health and social care services

Entry requirements

  • To study an Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care learner must be aged of 18
  • Learners who possess Qualifications at Level 3 and/or Level 4

Progression – Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care

How am I assessed?

Most courses are assessed through assignment submission only, with no exams. The early years and childcare diplomas are assessed through tutor-marked assignments and workplace observations. Each course page sets out how that course is assessed.

How long does a course take?

It depends on the course. Each course page shows the average time our learners take to complete it — between 3 and 14 months for our current courses — and learners are given up to two years' access to complete the course.

How do I enrol?

Choose your course, press Enrol now on its page and complete the enrolment form. Our team then confirms your place and your payment. Once that is done you receive an email with your learning portal login details and an introduction to your assigned supervisor, and you can begin your first module.
